Nintendo 'Two Brothers'

(Nintendo+Amazon reminds us of the significance of brothers/family) Shows the stereotypical relationship with siblings. The rivalry, arguments, distance through age etc. Shows that the product is a way bring back a connection/bond, bringing family together Nostalgia? But the Nintendo is the updated version Simon: your points remind me of the cultural myth (saying/axiom/maxim/aphorism) about somehow 'the world getting in the way' - that there is an 'authentic reality', which inevitably becomes frustrated by such a 'world'. It is a logic, which casts such an 'authentic reality' as being more innocent/more 'real'. In this sense, the ad seems to be about the two siblings 'losing each other' (because of 'the world getting in the way') and that through the Nintendo Switch - the two siblings are able to rewind/roll-back (and remove the cast, which is obscuring their view - or, whatever the obstacle is that such a 'world' is placing in front of the two siblings - allowing them to 'return to/get back to' their 'authentic selves'. And so, metaphorically, Nintendo provides the gateway/portal/door 'back to' such a innocence - and by inference, allows the purchaser of such a product to 'return' back to our 'authentic selves' - before 'the world got in the way'. It's a potent myth, which through being somewhat 'magical' thereby confers such magic on anything, which has the capability of bestowing such magic. ---------------------------------------
